I was sad Filler wasn't on the web, so I rebuilt it with javascript/phaser. Which means it's kind of on mobile again, too? (the old busted 480x320 version never got updated to 64-bit). Might play with the PWA apis later and make it "installable." simianlogic.com/games/filler/

Still mostly sticking to the basics but daaaaang will I shell out for novel exercise gadgets. Got a loadable mace last month. Ordered like $500 worth of grip strength tools this month (mostly unique grips).

First DIYish 3d printer project. Printed a travel case for aeropress xl filters and thought it would be nice if I could lock the filter cap on top. Took a few iterations (after the first full cap I just printed the locking mechanism ). Final version (hopefully) printing now.

When I use cursor compose or claude code, I spend way less time coding and more time doing code review and QA. Which... kind of sucks? More efficient but also less fun. Reminds me of my time as a team lead.

This is an exciting step towards dynamic neural assets. It’s also just cool to think I could film something with a locked off camera and then reshoot new angles of it in an Ar/Vr style experience.

My mom is staying at my twin's house (10 min away) to help out while he's out of town. Called me at 8:30: "Do you have good coffee? Can I come over?" She doesn't like light stuff, but wife just brought me back a couple of these from London. Today I was the better child.

Tiny basement gym progress. Picked up 2 stall mats last week, just taped and edged. Slowly transitioning from “bands are good enough” to real weights. Next up is a half rack, but feels silly to order anything big this close to Black Friday.

Solid Cache + Solid Queue have both been set as defaults for Rails 8. Excellent out-of-the-box ergonomics. We're looking sharp for a beta release by Rails World. Finishing touches on Kamal 2. The deployment story in Rails 8 is going to be oh-so-sweet. No paid PaaS required!
