To those @premierleague players who are worried that playing a few football matches will compromise their physical or mental health I merely say : come and chat to any of @stjohns_sussex care staff who worked all through the lockdown or any NHS staff and get some perspective .
Good to see you back .
Yes a very sound decision .
Electoral Reform is a rabbit hole down which Labour will disappear for a few years whilst the voters we need to persuade look on with ( at best ) boredom. It’s a sign we have given up trying to win and need the Lib Dems and others to help us out .
"We – advocates of electoral reform – are no longer a group of Labour members attempting to persuade the rest of the membership. Now, we are the membership". @Labour4PR's @joesousek on Labour's electoral reform shift this year – and what's next for PR: labourlist.org/2021/12/how-la…

Quite clear now that Momentum are a party within a party and that they despise most LP voters, members and MPs. They also explicitly state that Keir is ‘ the enemy’ . Time for the Party to take decisive action.

Absolutely. Labour should never step aside for the party that brought us austerity and David Cameron.
This would be an absolutely absurd thing for the party that came a clear second in 5 of the last 6 General Elections in that seat to do. And it isn't legally possible - the deadline for withdrawals of nomination is 19 working days before polling day!

I’m a big fan of @blue_labour but not on this issue.
The new rules cannot be justified. And how predictable that Labour can only acquiesce.
A couple of years ago, a movement centered on men gathering in public places to pray the rosary saw the day of light in Poland. The movement has now spread to other countries. This was recorded in Belfast today.
More bad news for the local community.

So agree with Luke . Also very unhelpful and lacking in rigour to classify all those who vote Tory in southern England as racist. We need to win Tory voters over not insult them .
Except we've won 7 or 8 Labour seats in Kent and 3 or 4 in Essex every time we've formed a government. Fed up with prejudice and disdain from the hard left towards good people in the South East whose votes we need to earn.

This. Plus we don't cry conspiracy when we lose. We just organise better next time.
We gained +3 CLP seats at North West Regional Conference We also won the SW this weekend, adding to our wins in SE, London and Eastern, too. We have a way to go, but we are honest about what we have achieved Get our emails to help us win in NW next year: labourtowin.org
The old turnstile block @eastbournetfc Saffrons ground is a truly beautiful thing. There’s another unit at the current entrance by the club house that’s out of commission at the moment. Wonderful stuff. #TurnstileSunday
My sense is that Momentum and the Corbynites are on the way out but still a long way to go : but I will stay and argue for social democratic sensible policies.

The Saffrons is a classic example of the joy and fun of non-League football. Teams like ETFC and others are the bedrock of English football. A welcome antidote to the hyper commercialism of the Premier League .
No question @eastbournetfc is a lovely place to watch a game. Two up early as the Dockers really haven’t got going at all. I had a nice pastie and a cup of splosh out of a proper big tea pot for three quid and you can’t argue with that. @NonLeagueCrowd
