Goal: Do work that you love. Focused behavior: Work hard, even when you don’t love the work. Result: You have multiple options to pursue interesting and fulfilling work.

Ambitious goals combined with focused behavior lead to remarkable results.

So much freedom comes with the realization that nobody is tracking your failures - most people are unaware, don't care, or are too concerned with their own failures to worry about yours.

Do something every day that will benefit you a decade from now.

Trading time for money is how we all started. The hack is to understand that independence is the goal. Work every day to eventually get out.

You win once you begin to crave healthy habits, not the outcomes from the habits. If you look forward to writing, meditating, lifting, reading, etc. then you'll win all that life has to offer. The secret is not in chasing outcomes, but in falling in love with habits.

Two ways to separate yourself from the pack: 1. Be more consistent. (Most people don't show up every day) 2. Be more patient. (Most people quit after only a few weeks or months)

Learned something new today. Financial freedom is when your passive income is more than your operational expenses + regular payments on portfolio of debt. Credits to @rajendevadason

When you lack money you worry about prices. When you have money you worry about time.

Realistic ways to grow your income: -Negotiate salary (data shows only 33% of people do, but 83% of those who do earn at least some increase) -Provide a service (e.g. tutoring, freelancing) -Build assets from scratch (e.g. profitable website) -Buy assets (e.g. websites)

Money can't directly buy happiness. But it can give you the means to say "no" to shit you hate doing. And that can be a pretty big step towards happiness.

Having a long-term focus in an age of short-term obsession, FOMO, and instant gratification gives you a massive advantage.

Success is always delayed. The action you took 2-3 years ago is responsible for any success you're experiencing now. The action you take now will be responsible for any success you experience in 2-3 years.

Advice to my younger self: Stop trying to pick individual stocks. Just throw your extra cash into index funds. Then spend the rest of your time figuring out how to grow your income.

The path to wealth: Own things that pay you money without your time and attention.

It doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful you are right now. What matters is whether your habits are putting you on the path toward success. You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results.
