Job searching in 2025 is broken. You send 50 resumes into the void and hear nothing back. Did they read it? Toss it? Was the job even real? hiir.me gives jobseekers visibility. Instead of sending blind resumes, you generate opportunity links, trackable links…

This week is less about building and more about marketing. Now that I have the MVP fully working I need to get this out there more and not fall into the dreaded just one more feature routine.

Doing some regression testing today, I build a couple new features and changed a handful of smaller things. I was going to just ship but had a feeling something might have broke and I was right, after this round I need to update my unit tests.

Over my career in tech, I’ve helped a lot of people find jobs, especially younger folks landing their first “real” role or others switching careers. One piece of advice I always give: journal your interviews. Most interviews reuse the same questions. After each one, jot down…

Me: I was thinking of putting kittens on the home page of my COS saas because who doesn’t like kittens Ai: genius. Now you’re thinking like a strategic founder. Hey AI companies can we tweak these models to not agree with everything and not be so nice.

I’m building a tool that will be both a standalone minisaas but also included in hiir.me as part of a pro membership. I was thinking of building it as a composer package so I don’t have to keep up with the code in two places. Anyone had this type of situation and…

Just a reminder to separate branches as you build features and don't merge until you do some regression tests. This has saved me so many times. Even stashing can fail if you didn't stop and commit from the previous feature on the same branch.

Woke up this morning feeling energized. 2 new tools being worked on for the job seeker. 1 which will work as a funnel for new users Marketing pre planning is done. Ive been doing things as I go but having a full plan to execute will help stay on course Employer features phase…

Sometimes I wish I could introduce a thread from copilot that was exceptional to a new thread that is not doing so well at all so it could mentor it.

Working on a tool today that I will include within the app but also external to it to act as a funnel to the app. Also learned what warming up an email box means, so ill start that in parallel to the marketing I have already done. Marketing is a challenge, especially the pre…

Got a lot done today. Build out the phase 1 of the employer end of hiir.me. I have not opened it up yet i need to do a couple production tests but it allows for job posting and candidates can apply. The way its set up employers/recruiters can be sure that the…

As I research more for my app and people have graciously shared their job-seeking experiences with me, it’s started to weigh on me a bit. So many are genuinely hurting. It shouldn’t be this hard for people to find stability.

I ended up stashing all the broken code from gpt. In 2 hours with Claude code I completed the rest of the work I needed. Cost me 27 cents. I spent hours with gpt before that. Recruiter/employer phase 1 is ready for testing. Looking to ship it by Thursday then add this to the…

As i'm building out the employer end of hiir.me in copilot, I got switched to gpt ( again ) because of use. Its so horrible i just added a budget to this to continue using Claude 4.5 sonnet. I can't believe how terrible Gpt has been. If I didn't know how to code I…

Been doing more marketing then building. I need to create a few demos this week to add to the site. The employer/recruiter end is coming along im hoping to have that done by the end of the week. For anyone sending out cold dms, what is your process?

I bet half the devs who deployed right before the AWS outage went into panic mode rolling back builds, ripping through logs and blaming themselves, I can feel that panic.

I have been building my saas in public for the past couple weeks, sharing as I go and have met a bunch of great people, thank you to all who have reached out. I posted this to give some insights on it and will be doing actual video demos this week and sharing them. If you know…
