An educator, fearless rural health advocate (will fight you), EMT, CHSOS, thinks vaccines are cool, loves technology and progression. Kinda grumpy about it tho.
Was dir gefallen könnte
“...if a victim is wearing an undergarment containing metal...” 🤔AKA a bra. Bra. Bra. Bra. Just say BRA. #itsnotadirtyword #AHA
I think I’m always last to know that these are not real people.

In all seriousness, I was thinking about how nice it would be for rural healtcare facities to have an endowment or foundation in which the interest supported and/or supplemented salaries. They could recruit, retain, and compensate the best forever! 😎
If you win the mega millions and/or powerball, how big of a foundation or endowment are you giving your program? Here’s a referral (that helps us both) to buy your tickets via an app and not smell like a fried burrito. jackpocket.com/referrals/lgm3…
Happy New Year, Sim Fam. I hope to be more active here, but I probably won’t.
Seeking clarity: rural hospitals have applied for “forgivable” small business loans to the tune of millions. How forgivable is this and why does no one really know or care?
One thing about going bald at 30, people on tours don’t assume I’m a student anymore.
Several years ago someone told me that rural healthcare would change drastically in the near future. “Cool story bro”. Turns out, he wasn’t the village idiot holding a sign and we see and feel that now. It’s getting scary out here.
We live because we listened to that song in many environments, many times. What if we looked at every skill in our scope of practice that way? OVERTRAIN TO PERFECTION.

How is gender identity being handled in hospitals appropriately? I’m about to administer a medication but the armband says male and I believe my patient is female. Do I administer it or double check my 5 rights?
By mistake I made a bunch of patient armbands say male for a female patient. No one noticed. Is sex/gender even a valid indentifier anymore? If it is, how do you politely handle a discrepancy as a healthcare provider?
Unfortunately, nothing validated how useless my work is than that and I had to spend the weekend re-adjusting from that crash and subsequent burn. So this is me lashing out. WE CAN DO BETTER, why don’t we?
For a research study using sim, we pulled a random sampling of professionals. Our own grads were the absolute worst in the simulation. Seems our own faculty had ruined any chance of fidelity while in sim. #verbalizingactionsinamilliondollarsimcenter
Gross, as a compliment
Taking clinical learning to the next level. This is a #manikin!! @echosimulation #MedEd #medicalsimulation #innovation

BTW, I’ll be at INACSL next week. Probably sweating the whole time.
