Over 5 years later and stories like these are just as common. We need new solutions that give drivers with disabilities the flexibility and independence they deserve. eastbaytimes.com/2016/03/16/pet…

Under the ADA, gas stations with 2+ attendants must assist drivers with disabilities. How often do you see gas stations with more than one attendant? Let’s pass legislation that makes fueling up easier for everyone. ada.gov/gasserve.htm

$1.75B of the infrastructure bill will go toward making transit stations available. That's a big step, and people with disabilities have been waiting for it. We think it can get even better, help us advocate for options that increase accessibility! cbsnews.com/news/infrastru…

New infrastructure funding will help expand access to transit for people with disabilities

The provision was spearheaded by Senator Tammy Duckworth, a double amputee who cannot use subway stations that don't have a working elevator.

Roughly 20% of transit stations in the U.S. are not ADA compliant. Can you believe it?! This is a basic need for millions of Americans, and drivers with #disabilities don’t fare better. Say it with us: MAKE 👏 TRANSPORTATION 👏 ACCESSIBLE 👏

Disability rights are civil and human rights. Don't forget it.

Gas stations remain among the most inaccessible public places. The ADA brought us a long way, but accessible fueling options are still missing for the nearly 800,000 Californians with a mobility disability.

Despite progress made from the ADA, it’s astonishing what people “with disabilities go through, just to try and get to work or school or shopping,” - @SenDuckworth. Let’s invest in making all aspects of mobility #accessible washingtonpost.com/transportation…

As we advocate for more #accessibility, we also celebrate the achievements made. BIG congratulations to coalition member @UnitedSpinal on 75 years! #75YearsUnited

Disappointed in the California legislature’s lack of action with AB905 despite 5,000+ letters & action by disability rights advocates. @laurafriedman43 the future of fueling should include mobile fuel delivery. Fueling must be accessible to all Californians.

The ADA requires gas stations to provide reasonable accommodations, but many stations struggle to follow the rules. Mobile fueling is the most accessible solution for drivers with disabilities. californiansforsmartfueling.com
