BBC presenter Martine Croxall came under fire for correcting the script and saying "women" instead of "pregnant people." Today, the BBC actually upheld that complaint and said her "facial expression" revealed a "controversial view about transpeople."

To clarify. I am not actually suggesting Mamdani would implement “sharia law”. But many of the issues he campaigned for are also some of the positive values of Sharia that Muslims try to live by. Something many of us would agree on.

Lucky that the BBC wasn’t policing facial expressions for signs of personal views when Jeremy Paxman was at Newsnight. Either that or it just has different rules for female presenters.
