This is beautiful in quite a strange way. And also wise, but not in a cynical way. It is simply true.
A man of sufficient experience is not deceived by a woman's attempts to conceal her insanity. He knows she is insane. He is simply placing the bet that she is so in the best of ways, rather than the worst - that she is meta aware enough to self-correct with his guidance.
In fact the more cerebral, reasonable, self-aware and hard to offend she is, the more insane she is. It seems counterintuitive, because it is, but she bears a secret: her feminine intensity is not absent, just compartmentalised. She is a paradox. That's what makes her dangerous.…

You will spend your whole life being preached to by people who know less than you acting like they know better. They preach not because they have an excess of great insights to share, but because the act of falsely correcting others is ego stabilising for them. They're mosquitos.
Their baseline competence must be high enough that you don't need to keep fixing their mistakes, otherwise any brilliance you possess is not given breathing room to compound, but instead constantly diverted to mediocre tasks that underutilise you. You will grow to resent this.
I don't believe the "true" writer has a distinctive voice. I think they have multiple. Repeating the same old trick in the same old style over and over again is not how a powerful mind works. Paradox by necessity induces different registers, and a good writer channels those.
When my rebel's heart and your rebel's heart wish to create something beautiful, it is my burden as a man to bring about order, I do that lovingly, self-sacrificingly, knowing what it costs me - and yet you would rebel against me too, knowing I am like you and that it is for you?
Inside the true man there is always a rebel, a chaos seeker, an adventurer - his selfish desire is to risk himself, to seek glorious destruction, to die, and be reborn in the flames of his own thrill seeking. Bureaucracy is anathema to him. He longs to vividly inhale this life.
She loves being seen, but hates feeling exposed, and the former naturally leads to the latter because they are one and the same: only the perceptual lens has changed.
