ICYMI. Probably the most surprising part of this story, for most people, is that Blackberry is even still around! The second-most surprising part would be that Blackberry was still around in 2018 when they filed the lawsuit. thestreet.com/investing/blac…

BlackBerry and Facebook Settle Patent Lawsuit

BlackBerry says it settled a patent lawsuit against social-media giant Facebook.


I don't know if this works, or how well, but great concept! If you've got a newer MacBook (with no magnetic power charge cable), this could be your workaround. It comes in straight or right-angle versions. Search for "usb c magnetic adapter" and you'll find a bunch of them.

I would not have guessed that there are 300+ pending patent apps in the USPTO, all filed by one person, that have priority dates going back to the 1970s and 80s. But apparently there are! patentlyo.com/patent/2021/06…
