If you were using Experiments to run a landing page test, would you deactivate sitelink extensions to ensure that users can only arrive on your LP (and not other sections of the main website)? And would you do the same in your control campaigns to ensure consistency? #ppcchat


#ppcchat What are your thoughts on location extensions? I don't mind them in concept but I'm worried they'll distract from my core conversions by encouraging clicks for directions or untrackable calls direct from Google Maps (which we can't include in our conversions / CPA).


Finally got word that the Google Ads keyword diagnosis tool issue was fixed on Sept 12. Apparently the issue was that the system considered 'United States' as a default so when trying to preview ads for a campaign targeted location outside the US, it simply didn't work. #ppcchat


I cloned an Exact + Phrase campaign with Drafts & Experiments and ran a broad match version of it for a month to see if Smart Bidding could maintain the CPA of the original. Ultimately, the queries were just way too broad and the quality wasn't there. No marginal gains. #ppcchat

Word to the wise that Microsoft Ads has quietly and inexplicably launched Smart Goals in my largest accounts, opting them into the Conversions column. I've now removed them but I get to dedupe my conversion numbers, which is a joy. Check Notifications > Informational. #ppcchat
