"I would consider that a promise." She's still wearing a quiet blush behind that scarf she always wears.
"Don't make me hold that hand of yours and not let go. Like at all. I'll squeeze if it I have to!" Serena does want to help her partner out. And this is her way of teasing.
"I would just show them the digits" Platina flashes both of her hands up, wiggling her fingers with a smile. "Possibly while reaching for you."
She goes to poke Platinas nose a bit and puffs out her cheeks. "N-Not funny! What if people thought s-she did eat your hand-?"
"...snrk, hehe." Platina attempts to hide a giggle at Serena's expense.
"O-Oh? It was...? Well... Erm.... C-Carry on, then!" Now she is a bit embarrassed.
"...Serena, it was a joke."
Then she'd get a wink back!
Tina has a book out, detailing various species of Pokemon available in the Blueberry Academy Terrarium. One does stick out to her... "...Flygon. It may not be Garchomp, but that's not necessarily what I wish to tame anyway."
"I just wish to be sure. I...don't wish to make you feel pressured..." More like she can't understand what Serena sees in her.
"I thought we established that a long time ago, Platty." She has an idea to solidify that. She just needs to wait until Christmas day. "Is that so wrong?"
"I'd like that." A hand rests on Serena's waist. "You're committed to being partners then...?"
"It would be good for the both of us, really. Who knows what will happen. And maybe we can be fun rivals as well as partners! What do you think, Platty?"
"Ah, that's true. You've got quite a bit of experience under your belt." She nods, stepping closer to Serena. "Would you, eventually?"
"...Maybe the two of us can spar, perhaps? I wouldn't mind helping you get you out there. I think you can make a good battler!"
"That's just the thing...I'm not quite sure. And I've never engaged in a real Pokemon battle before." Sure she and Riolu often sparred, but they've never actually fought as a team before...
"Are there... any you would like to get, perhaps? What kind of Pokemon do you like? Or how do you fight?" She does tilt her head a bit. That'll be her second idea for a gift..
"I am." Platina gives Serena a gentle smile. "I've thought about expanding my team, so that I might compete in events in the future."
"Thinking about a new partner Pokemon, Platty?" She is tilting her head, listening in.
Sigh. "Perhaps my expectations are a bit too high? Or I'm just...unable to commit to the idea that Riolu alone won't be enough?"
"...Blueberry Academy though. Does it not have biomes that one could find Pokemon living in harmony in? It's quite a tempting idea to enroll."
