It would be impossible for us to be prouder of our 2024 summer graduates 🎓 Each of the 60 young people who joined us this summer brought their humour, care, passion, creativity and studiousness to the programme every day, making it into the brilliant three weeks that it was 🌟
We always love when the @Maslaha team comes through to help us explore liberation movements from around the globe 🌍🗝🍉
The last few days, we held English clinics on phrasal verbs, speaking about the past, around the house vocab and debating skills and public speaking 🗣 In our politics & culture sessions we learned about the history of hair, Abrahamic religions and how laws get passed in the UK⚖️

We had a truly beautiful last day of term on Saturday: old friends came to visit, young people celebrated their achievements from the past year & the staff team threw a little party to honour two members of the Springboard family who are moving on to bigger things in September 🥰

We kicked off May half-term this week with a visit to the @young_vam Myths to Manga exhibition, to learn a bit about the history of manga and get inspired for the week ahead. Stay tuned for a peak at our own comic creations! 🎨💥
May half-term is going to be truly action-packed! 💥 Along with a trip and a sports day, we'll learn about the history of manga and other types of comic art, act out storyboards for our own comic books and work with an artist to draw our own comic strips! DM us to join 📲
Huge shoutout to our wonderful team for thinking through how we’re going to change, grow & challenge ourselves & the oppressive systems we’re caught between over the next 3 years so newly arrived young people feel platformed, powerful & able to thrive in the classroom and beyond!
Peckham high road is now completely blocked by people resisting the removal as well as resisting the arrests made by police. There are many many more of us than the police. They’re not going anywhere. Come and join us and we can stop them together.
UPDATE: Police and HO security saying Peckham coach to Bibby Stockholm has been cancelled - but they won’t provide any proof. We've also seen today's schedule which has 3 more stops so we're holding the coach until we get confirmation so they don't pick anyone up COME JOIN US
On the weekend we ran a mini strategy session for our Saturday group to tell us how they want to see Springboard change and grow over the next few years. Their input will feed into our upcoming Away Day conversations where we’ll build out our next 3-year strategy 💫
