ETR's 7th grade scientists explored the nature of waves using slinkies, coils, ropes, and wave trays to demonstrate how waves are oscillations that transfer energy from one place to another.
Such a wonderful start to October at Scenic! Students of the Month, Spotters raffle winners, & Scenic Safeties were selected. Students practiced scientific method by experimenting with paper airplane design and learned about the solar system. Go Blue is in full swing.

A document camera can project documents and objects for a whole class, display student work, provide real-time demonstrations, and annotate texts live. Students in Mrs. Walsh's 6th grade Math class could easily follow along while solving the problem.
7th grade students in Historical Literacy I reviewed primary and secondary sources. This activity is an engaging example of the gamification of learning, a perfect fit for the middle school student.
