Students on our Outward Bound trip will be leaving Aberdyfi at 11.30am and heading home after an exhilarating but tiring week in the the Welsh Mountains. What an an amazing experience they have had with lots of memories to bring home and share.

Students from Springwell attended Frederick Gent School yesterday to take part in the TTCT Varsity Chess Competition. It was great to be a part of the launch of this year’s Varsity events, and we are so looking forward to our second event in December, ‘TTCT Bake Off’.
Mrs Snowden has been blown away by the incredible quality of the Summer Homework handed in by our brilliant Year 7's. From creative projects, to thoughtful writing and beautifully presented work. The effort, imagination and dedication on display has been outstanding.
We're delighted another student has earned themselves ‘Super Reader’ status. Congratulations and well done to Levi who has read all ten books on the Year 7 reading list this academic year. It’s a wonderful achievement that demonstrates our core values of commitment and ambition.

We were both honoured and humbled to be invited by the Staveley Branch of the Royal British Legion to attend their service to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day. It was a very moving ceremony and students Ellie, Daisy and Angel gave a short reading and laid a wreath. #VEDay

Valencia Football Tour 2025 Students enjoyed a packed 4 day football tour of Valencia. We trained with Valencia coaches. Played a match vs local team. Watched Valencia & Villarreal matches Visited the city centre of Valencia. Our students were truly amazing!
Congratulations to our Sportshall Athletics Plus team, who were crowned North Derbyshire champions on Monday! A fabulous achievement, in their first competition together as a team. Well done!

What a fabulous day we had last week when author and film maker Matt Dickinson visited us for World Book Week. His workshops were brilliant, & he kept students enthralled with stories of his adventures & explorations of Everest & Antarctica, both of which have inspired his books.
