Managing feral pigs on Cape York Peninsula
.@qldEnvironment had identified pig damage as a major wetland issue, but until this NESP Northern Hub project, impacts of pig damage on specific wetland types had not been quantified. 2/

Conservation of freshwater biodiversity is critical. It is exceptionally rich and globally imperilled by many threats. It supports humanity. So it’s great that our project to rescue cold water fish and crayfish at risk from extreme climate has just won a Qld Government award!
tinyurl.com/xrpusws While I’m very pleased our new paper is just out, the risks we identify to the viability of dryland river fishes from drought, climate change and barriers like weirs that limit recolonisation are not at all pleasing
Qld’s control of Covid delta shows what’s possible with a responsible government who act on science advice for the benefit of citizens. As opposed to government by self serving criminals who act on the advice of donors for the benefit of themselves. Who could I be thinking of??
