The #Covid_19 pandemic means many students will be without work over summer, leaving them struggling to afford the cost of living over summer and unable to afford accommodation when term starts. It is for this reason I am fully in support of the #SummerSAAS campaign.”

Good to see @LabourRichard recognising that COVID-19 is seeing many young people loose their jobs and incomes. Will you support our call for #SummerSAAS to make sure students have an income through the summer and don't have to drop out of their studies?

In 2016, @UWSstudents produced a report on the need for a Summer safety net. I was proud to contribute as a student then & happy to support this now as a Councillor. Students shouldn't be struggling or having to consider dropping out due to a lack of #SummerSAAS. I've signed!
