If you go to a site that asks for your Steam credentials, to be safe: don't login at that screen 1. Go to Steams normal site and login from there 2. You should then see the sign in option (see below) 3. If not, most likely the site isn't actually having you log into Steam (scam)
Avoid account hijackings, particularly from Steam friends you may otherwise trust. If they ask you to go "vote for my team", or if their style of typing seems suddenly way off, chances are they've been hijacked. See prevention tips from @SteamRep at forums.steamrep.com/pages/hijackin….

From our review, we have not found any reason for TF2 players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds (as always, playing on the official servers is recommended for greatest security).
We have reviewed the leaked code and believe it to be a reposting of a limited CS:GO engine code depot released to partners in late 2017, and originally leaked in 2018. From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds.

Attn: certain TF2 crates currently have a 100% unbox rate for Unusual items. This has had a massive impact on the crate and Unusual item market. Please, be aware and take care when trading.
PSA: There is no beta CSGO operation. The @Medium article about it is FAKE and has a PHISHING LINK. If you click the link, your account will be stolen. Anyone can post Medium articles without aproval or moderation, and sadly they provide no way to report phishing links or scams.

Steam account hijackers are stealing a lot of accounts recently. The scams and links mostly come from trusted friends, not strangers. Be careful! Scammers know you're more likely to trust a friend you know when it comes to their links and "pending report" fake admin scams.
Reminder: if you actually were to be restricted from Steam Community features, Valve does not provide forward notice about imminent bans - they just ban you. Anyone claiming that one is on its way to you is a phony. See forums.steamrep.com/pages/about-it… for more on this and related scams.

It doesn't take an idiot to get a Steam account stolen. Lots of people are getting hijacked, and most of them were otherwise smart but thought only idiots get hijacked. The key is to recognize even you can fall for it, so you're always careful. Read more: forums.steamrep.com/pages/hijackin…
