.@TheDemocrats @TomPerez just reversed their commitment to end fossil fuel subsidies in the #DNC2020 platform. The platform is way behind the party & what science requires. We deserve better bit.ly/3aGRpfF

We have a global pandemic. And @TCEnergy is bringing in hundreds of out-of-state workers to start construction on #KeystoneXL, which could further expose rural and Indigenous communities to COVID-19. Sign the petition and halt KXL: nokxlpromise.org/covid-19

The climate crisis is the pressing issue of our time. In spite of this, Vice President @JoeBiden continue to put forth middle-of-the-road plans that don't meet the scale of the crisis. Sign now and tell Biden to show real climate leadership. act.350.org/sign/biden-202…

"Like the divine conception in Mary, we will eventually realize it is being done to and within us much more than us doing anything. All God needs is our “yes,” it seems, which tends to emerge progressively as we grow in inner freedom." @RichardRohrOFM

Historical criticism, source criticism, are not dead. They provide the foundation and continue to inform serious Biblical scholarship into our present postmodern context.

Now and then, and more often than I would like, I come across sweeping public claims made by Evangelical leaders about the state of modern critical biblical scholarship—namely that it is on life support and can safely be brushed aside. buff.ly/2RfN33T

"Only the second African American to be elected to statewide office in Virginia." There's more to be protested here than a tribute to R.E. Lee!

His name is Nathan Phillips. A Vietnam veteran. Here he speaks about the incident. “I wish I could see that energy, of that mass of young men, making this country really, really, great... Helping those that are hungry.” Video Via @LeMeTellUSumtin

The MAGA-hat wearing Covington Catholic High School students mocking Elder Nathan Phillips at the Indigenous Peoples March in Washington are direct descendants of the white privilege that empowered white kids to mock Elizabeth Eckford at Little Rock Central High School in 1957.

Wow! Just Wow!

A record 131 women will serve in the 116th Congress – this is what change looks like. Proud to be in the fight for Massachusetts families alongside my friends, @RepPressley, @RepLoriTrahan, and @RepKClark. nytimes.com/interactive/20…

This ruling seems truly groundbreaking in light of the decades long stranglehold Dominion has maintained on not only Virginia state politics, but also the State Corporation Commission. Thanks to all respondents, and the SCC for jobs well done!

With little justification, Dominion asked regulators to put ratepayers on the hook for hundreds of millions of dollars. "This we will not do," the SCC responded today.
