SC isn't "scared." They want to get to the playoffs. That's what CFB is all about now. It's 2025. Any other programs would may this same decision.

Perhaps related, over the last 180 minutes of game play, USC has been in the lead for 9 minutes and 51 seconds. In those three seasons they had two offensive possessions while ahead.

The earliest USC and Notre Dame can resume the series will be 2030. Lincoln Riley won't be around. So he will have killed college football's greatest intersectional rivalry and let someone else clean up the mess
