Proud to welcome DC teachers and staff back to school today! Across the city, educators are preparing for students to return next week. 🍎✏️ This morning in Ward 3, we cut the ribbon for the modernized Stoddert Elementary—one example of how we’re investing in public education.

Along with more than 20 countries, #Azerbaijan’s 🇦🇿 #culture and #cuisine were presented at the International Day organized by the Stoddert Elementary School in Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸
Today I visited Stoddert Elementary and MacArthur High Schools. Thanks to Principals Ms. Lutz and Dr. McCray for hosting the tours. It’s critical school facilities are equipped to provide safe environments for all students, and I will continue to tour schools over the next week.

Proud to cut the ribbon today on Stoddert Elementary School’s new addition, which adds 10 new classrooms, a new playground, and multipurpose space - all ready to welcome students for the new school year starting Monday.
