Tech companies like Meta are listening to parents' concerns and overhauling teen content on Instagram. Kudos to Instagram for working to protect the teen user experience!

Huge developments for protecting our children online today! New PG-13 guidelines for Instagram teen accounts will help further restrict inappropriate content. These are the kinds of tools we need to give parents to protecting their kids. about.fb.com/news/2025/10/i…

Ultimately, we know it's the bad actors online hurting our kids. @MarshaBlackburn we need to continue to focus on identifying bad actors, with the help of tech companies, and give greater resources to law enforcement to properly prosecute predators.

We need to do a better job at making sure online predators don’t infiltrate our children’s digital sphere. Instead of targeting big tech (@MarshaBlackburn), a more productive step would be to enlist the help of tech companies, using their power for good.

We all agree something needs to be done to protect kids from online harm, but punishing companies doing their part as mandated reporters is only delaying a real solution. @MarshaBlackburn’s KOSA is a mislabeled bill intended to punish tech, not protect kids.

Incidentally, the only person who gets this right is @RonWyden whose Invest in Child Safety Act should be a global model for policy development in this safe. Start w/ law enforcement. Take the criminals out of the equation. Get to the root cause of exploitation.

The Online Safety Act will not only not protect children, it will expose them to more danger by ignoring predators. It further unleashes an already vast digital crime wave that ONLY law enforcement can address. Thank you @GBNEWS for asking the right questions.

Warning labels will do nothing to deter global sextortion rings. Only focused law enforcement will take them off the streets. This kind of thing is an unserious distraction from real solutions like this dhs.gov/know2protect?g…

We need legislation to help eradicate child rapists and traffickers online. We urge the @FTC to support legislation that does not harm companies actually reporting CSAM and instead gives greater resources to law enforcement to clean up the digital streets. #FTCProtectKids

From @FLOTUS: “We will work together to develop tools to empower parents and youth, and we will lean on tech executives in the private sector to do their part.” We also need to ensure law enforcement has the tools and resources to go after child predators. #FTCProtectKids

We begin the day with a statement from @FLOTUS Melania Trump, whose efforts were instrumental in the recent passage of the TAKE IT DOWN Act. The First Lady’s Director of Policy Sarah Gesiriech is delivering the remarks. Watch: view.knowledgevision.com/presentation/6… #FTCProtectKids

Thanks to the @FTC for hosting today’s workshop where experts came together to discuss legislation and solutions that will help to protect children online! As @AFergusonFTC said, we need to empower parents and families. #FTCProtectKids

Thank you all for attending the Attention Economy Workshop, including our brilliant panelists and speakers. Protecting children from online harms is a priority for this @FTC and our work has only just begun.

Dear Florida, SB868/HB743 miss the point. Investing in FL law enforcement would be a much better approach. @FLSheriffs @FLDepSheriffs are the tip of the spear when it comes to taking predators off the street.

When it comes to protecting kids from online predators in Florida, tax dollars would be best invested in more police officers and outcome measurement. SB 868 and HB 743 would fail to protect kids and only waste money on more costly litigation. stopchildpredators.substack.com/p/child-protec…

"For children in Arkansas, social media is the least of their problems. The push for these deeply flawed bills indicates that lawmakers are ignoring a more serious situation for children, that is the poor performance of the state itself when it comes to keeping children safe."

Arkansas is a dangerous place for children, but it’s not because of social media. Here’s why SB 611 and 612 won’t protect kids: stopchildpredators.substack.com/p/for-immediat…
