This is my first project back after being away from CTG for seventeen years. Eighteen years ago, we built this theater for this moment. This exact moment. To have conversations with our audience, our community and this city. We have been away from our people for too long.
Today, on a clear day in Los Angeles with a high of 81 degrees, we began our first day of rehearsal at Center Theatre Group in the Kirk Douglas Theatre, on a beautiful new play, Alma, by Benjamin Benne, that will open our season after two and half years of darkness.
