The only effective way to protest is to make yourself heard while working hard to build something. Often it’s the 2nd part that expose these so called protesters for what they really worth - less than nothing.
Many politicians will promise and maybe even deliver on offering free money. In the end, none of it will stick because you didn’t work hard for it.
Certain things can be pushed and achieved through protesting and speaking up. But unfortunately, poverty is not one of them. Everyone need to teach themselves and their kids. The only way to live a better life is through hard working. No politician or movement can hand you that.
What’s really infuriating is how media take a very simplistic one-sided view. They do it not because they are naive, but because they have agenda - both personally (it pays their salary) and politically (their miserable self-esteem).
Many times, people forget it takes thugs to tackle thugs. Not defending cops, but you can’t ignore the ugliness they are dealing with on a daily basis. Many got sucked into that a-hole and behave worse than thugs. It’s a complex issue. No silver bullets here.
