Managed to get the baby to bed at a reasonable time...get ready to settle down on the sofa... immediately rampaged by the cat who is thrilled about the absence of said baby because, that's right, 10 week olds are extremely terrifying
A lovely start to my first birthday as a mum. Eloise gave me some beautiful presents: She slept for over five hours in one go last night 😴 She did an explosive poo just in time for daddy to be able to change her before he set off for work 🤣 Thank you little darling ❤️
This morning: a lovely message from a stakeholder with praise for my work on the Cttee's report on nuclear power. This afternoon: an amazing surprise from our dear friend @peterjhw07. The most thoughtful gift ahead of our due date on Friday <3 Thank you, thank you 😊😊

Please @Tesco sort this out. I have had more messages today than I would expect from people going into your stores finding the recalled products on shelves and having to remove them themselves!! Only to be told by customer service that they don't know anything about the recall.…

Dementia is absolutely wild (and an absolute b****). After six months of my nan barely recognising me, I managed to have a five minute conversation with her over the phone, that made some sense, as she was having a miraculously good day 💗 so grateful right now 💞💓
Lots happening in the S&T policy space right now but I'm afraid I'm (for the most part) ignoring it all and having too much fun climbing hills and eating cake in bonny Scotland 😃😃 with @kieran_housley
We have published the Government's responses to our reports on: 🫧 The role of hydrogen in achieving Net Zero 🛰️UK space strategy and UK satellite infrastructure Read the responses and our Chair @GregClarkMP's comments: committees.parliament.uk/committee/135/…

Finally wearing my baby on board badge after a London-based friend had to order one for me because @TfL don't let you order to an address outside London. I'm confident that plenty of pregnant women live outside but work in London so it would be great if @Tfl would change this!
So let's just say the last week has been a bit insane. A week ago, we moved house, after what has been quite a stressful journey. A week later, today... We found out... WE'RE HAVING A BABY GIRL! Arriving August 2023 💓💓 @kieran_housley
Publishing the National quantum strategy at the same time as the budget docs...I only have one pair of eyes I can't keep up!!!
