With news that unemployment is at 5%. I thought I write about what so any seem to ignore, rents. I know it will be alien to so many. But you have to look at rents and at policy, not simply blame the claimants in my view. [@Shelter] [@jrf_uk] [ @ONS ] stuartsmudge.com/when-work-does…

This is why I see huge potential for AI in health awareness. I am working on some stuff at the moment and the technology is improving all the time. This is just an avatar with my ai voice. Just a few years ago the background around the jumper would move, not its all seamless.

Yes, its pretty cool what AI can do. This is just turning this text of my post and using an avatar with my AI voice. Could be great for many charities and health awareness as well.

This is a good idea, but I often feel it ignores the most important part following a change of circumstance some of us face. That is housing and rehoused if you were homeless like I was. That must come first & one of the reasons I talk so much about fair rent & social housing.

Life can change overnight - a lost job, illness or losing a home. When you need support, the welfare state should catch you, not kick you down. That’s why we need an Essentials Guarantee: a safety net so everyone can afford the basics.

When I relooked at AI voice last year and how the technology has evolved. I saw how customer service agents can be used, also for teaching and health awareness I built one for kidney patients wanting to know more about kidneys as a demo. The speed of them now is incredible.

AI in classrooms has the potential to break down barriers and provide personalised learning experiences 🚀📈 That’s why we’re trialling the use of AI tutoring tools in schools, creating safe UK benchmarks 💻

Good news on ground rents obviously, but tone deaf on homelessness and those in temporary housing. The answer yet again is home ownership, when many won't be buying a home. The homeless, many disabled, those in temp housing, many using food banks. They just don't get it.

'Are you going to deliver that 1.5 million commitment to build homes?' @edballs asks @SteveReedMP.

This is so true. Its like me going to Dermatology next week for a minor procedure. With social media now, you could change it too. I am having part of my leg removed and going into hospital, for dramatic effect. 😀

Did We Vote for This? As I continue to ask, does Labour see the workign class and those with disabilities? I have added an audio file as well with my AI voice, for accessibility. open.substack.com/pub/stuartsmud…

I have certainly had my doubts about Andy Burnham, but more because of Blairs time. But he has spoken up on the nuclear test veterans & what my Dad & others witnessed and what we might have inherited. Labour lost touch with the working class, if he changes that, I am all for it.

Trying out Eleven labs version of image creator, which basically uses Nano Banana. An old school photo I used to make this, what I would have been doing 50 years ago. Making a go cart out of old pram wheels and wood. What were you doing 50 years ago, if old enough?

Don't think the old boy minds if this old boy forgets to take his coat off. Getting old

This is why they have still not learnt from being kicked out of office. When take home pay does not cover the rent & bills, you use a food bank and you struggle. It really is shocking to me. No fan of Polanski, but they just don't see it and what high private rents is causing.

"Nurses queuing at foodbanks" is nonsense the hard left repeat endlessly but have never produced any evidence of whatsoever - the starting salary for a newly qualified NHS nurse is £31,048, it's not masses but you can live. 5 mins of these guys in charge & we'll all be queuing.

Always tried different ways of being creative over the years, so delighted with the pick up of my AI voice, 439 users now. Don't expect much the first 12 months, but with so many apps and customer service agents using Eleven Labs now. Character use should grow to offset sub cost.

Every day that passes, I am just stunned that the Labour party do not see the working class and workers on low wages. This does not address rents and living costs an the fact so many are using food banks, because of low or no disposable income.

I know things are tough right now, and I know people are feeling the pressure. That’s why my priority is to tackle the cost of living. Our Warm Homes Plan will upgrade millions of homes across the country with proper insulation to lower bills and help with the cost of living.

If they were focused on cost of living, it would be radical, not just tinkering around the edges. Rents averaging nearly £1400, now £900 higher in London since I wrote my blog post. Then they will look to justify more cuts to welfare, as they seem incapable of addressing rents.

Our number one focus is cutting the cost of living. That's why we're taking £150 off energy bills, freezing rail fares and increasing minimum wage. There's more to do, but this is the year Britain turns a corner.

All this report does is underline that snobbery is still an issue in society. Where they ignore lived experience, intelligence and assume we are stupid, based on lack of qualifications. Sure, I look rubbish on paper, but I would never vote Reform, because of my own experience😉
