The Kick-Off meeting for the Sub-BioMon project convened in Tallinn, Lithuania, on the 17 of April, with participation of the principal coordinator of the consortium , Dr. Maja Zagmajster from the University of Ljubljana. This marked the first announcement of the project.

Subterranean species of karst areas represent an important part of the biodiversity. The #SubBioMon Biodiversa+ project which is co-funded by the European Commission will provide the much-needded scientific basis for standardized biological monitoring of these secific habitats.
