Prefix test tomorrow. Study!


We read to page 140 in The Outsiders and wrote a journal.


Last week we read nonfiction articles on drummer boys and the Battle of Shiloh. This week, we're writing about how accurate the story is.


Book talks due by Jan. 9th. Last week, we filled in a reading guide on The Outsiders, wrote a paragraph about Dally, and read to page 60.


Today we continued filling in our Outsiders character guides and read to page thirty.


On Thursday we filled in another reading record and read to page ten in The Outsiders. On Friday we filled in an Outsiders character guide.


Today we did proofreading warmups 3 and 4. We also read "The Green Mamba" and filled in an inference worksheet.


Yesterday we finished our compare/contrast mini-essay on "The Monkey's Paw" and "THe THird Wish." We also took notes on inferences.


Today we worked on our first paragraph of our mini-essay and studied the prefixes anti- ("against") and dis- ("apart from/away")


We filled in our reading record and began planning out our postage stamp essay.


We finished our commonly confused words. See me for the ones you missed. We also took a quiz on Broken Chain. Scores look much better!


Our "Flowers for Algernon" essays are due Friday! We've been working on them since last week.


Today we handed in our proofreading warmups, talked about the supporting paragraphs and refutation, and did some prewriting.


Today we worked on an in-class reading record and wrote our introductory paragraph to our essayon "Flowers for Algernon."


We annotated the final passage of "Flowers for Alg.," wrote a journal about everything you know about writing an essay, and did group work.


Today we filled in another reading record, finished Charly, and took a quiz on "Flowers for Algernon."


Today we watched more of Charly, wrote a response to a prompt about "Flowers for Algneron" and did proofreading warm-ups 7 and 8.


Yesterday we finished "Flowers for Algernon," filled in a reading record, and discussed weekly reading response III and the term book talk.


Today we read from pages 51-57 in "Flowers for Algernon" and examined the commonly confused word pairs choose/chose and emigrate/immigrate.


Today we read to page 49, filled in a reading record, and watched some more of the video.
