Monday 4th August is the Sutton Coldfield Chess Club AGM (Annual General Meeting) starting at 7.30pm, but there is chess-playing from 6pm. suttonchess.org.uk
Tonight 14th July the Chess Club will meet early at 6pm as an experiment.
A quick reminder that, as usual, Sutton Coldfield Chess Club does not meet on Bank Holiday Mondays (26th May, 25th August).

The funeral of Keith Escott will take place at 3.15pm on Tuesday 11th June at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, Tamworth Road, Sutton Coldfield B75 6LG. Details of the reception/wake following the service will be provided as soon as they are finalised.
Keith Escott passed away on March 15th 2024 aged 76. A towering figure on the local chess scene, he had been the Chairman of Sutton Coldfield Chess Club, and for many years the Club's strongest player. His legacy and dedication to the game are unmatched. Rest in peace.
