I sent a letter today with more than 70 of my colleagues in the House and the Senate urging President Biden to do everything within his power to guarantee rail workers the seven paid sick days that they desperately need.
Taking off for Christmas and Christmas Eve would wipe out all of my points(we get 30 for a career). That would leave none for health issues or emergencies. It would take working 14 days in a row 7x to get those points back. That's 98 days. This is why railroaders wanted to strike
