Travel Logs // An ongoing devblog

"Even if the ink remains unchanged within those pages, the world around us has left it behind." Devblog for "Travel Logs", a coming-of-age visual novel concept
Welcome one and all to my garden of ideas. Cutting to the chase, this twitter account is a development blog for a coming-of-age visual novel I am currently planning/working on. I'll be recording my thoughts and progress here for anyone interested.
Also looking to get a working logo too to replace this profile picture, which is just the profile picture that I, the creator, use. Largely because I'd love to not get sued. Probably too small of a project, at least so far, to worry about that anyway.
Notably, I wanted to make the UI and all metagame aspects interesting, if not inherently the most novel thing in the world. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Well, the idea is to make the entire VN the protagonist's "travel logs", or sort of like a diary/notebook. Hence the title.
As a sidenote, I'm just deciding now to give the thing a working title. It doesn't have to be good, and will likely be changed later, just need something to call it. Travel Logs. Fitting for a road trip, and it will make sense given some design choices that will be explained.
Your boy's been slacking off given the work we have due nowadays. On the bright side, some updates : Currently working on fleshing out characters further, and working titles and preliminary musical themes/lyrical ideas have been found for the character themes.
A concern of mine is the soft time limit I have for making this. It isn't a hard limit, but I personally want to publish this while I'm still of "coming of age" age, 17-19 years old. A 26 year old publishing a coming of age novel based on personal experience is... a little late.
Of all the things I thought I'd be doing when I set about making a visual novel, looking up music making and roadtrip planning software was not expected. And yet here we are.
Y'know, before I even begin with this devblog, maybe time to find a working title. Given the immense following I've gotten since the creation of this blog an hour ago, I'm sure someone would love to suggest a working title. Will get back to y'all on that soon.
It is... very much at a very rudimentary, barebones planning level, as of the writing of this message. No promises, no ETA, and expect a very informal devblog. For now, this is but an aspiring game dev rambling about ideas.
