Wish much had gone differently in my past but had I not needed Jesus so desperately, not sure how I'd have come to want Him so passionately.
God doesn't tell Moses, "Tell them, 'I am what you want.'" He says, "Tell them, 'I am what I am.’"
Suffering can make you more lonely or drive you into deeper community. Let it be the latter.
Joseph waited 13 years. Abraham waited 25 years. Moses waited 40 years. Jesus waited 30 years. If God makes u wait, you are in good company.
The pertinent question for much of the western church is not whether we can survive our suffering but whether we can survive our cynicism.
Fear-based repentance makes us hate ourselves. Joy-based repentance makes us hate the sin.
