1/11 - With @KMitosch and Clément Potel + colleagues in @savitski_lab @TypasLab @embl, I’m very happy to share our discovery of a hyper-promiscuous phage protein kinase (T7K) which broadly deactivates bacterial defenses! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Looking for a new approach to studying or eliminating phages? Check out our study introducing anti-phage ASOs (antisense oligos) out in @Nature today. nature.com/articles/s4158…
Want to know how the ligands interact with proteins beyond model human cell lines? Interested in membrane targets? Check out our High-Throughput PELSA method which allows you do all these cool screenings for dozens of ligands within 2 hours! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
We are very happy to present our work on N-glycoproteomics!🍬 Our method enables the selective enrichment and precise quantification of intact N-glycopeptides to explore the dynamics of glycosylation microheterogeneity. nature.com/articles/s4159…
Exciting opening at the proteomics core facility at EMBL! Please spread, apply and reach out! embl.wd103.myworkdayjobs.com/EMBL/job/Heide…
New preprint - our latest close collaboration with @TypasLab @embl on phage-host interactions, led by @TaraBartolec, @KMitosch and Clément Potel. Mass spec revealed entirely unexpected, widespread proteome modification by a single phage protein kinase! biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
.@theliulab @MRuwolt @diogobor @milanzord @absea_bio @Julia_RtaAn introduce a XL-MS standard based on human proteins or protein fragments produced in E. coli. The paper also introduces Scout, a search engine for XL-MS studies with cleavable cross-linkers. nature.com/articles/s4159…
Our DSSO xlinked PPI benchmarking dataset (PXD042173) and Scout (github.com/diogobor/Scout) are finally published (nature.com/articles/s4159…)! Both Scout and the PPI dataset will grow. We and the whole XL community are working hard on refining XL search and FDR estimation.
Did you know that bacteria remember their past for many generations? In this new preprint from us (@VillaniAlexis and Senen Mendoza) and Banin lab (@ShmidovE ), we reveal the "how?" and "why?" underlying a long-standing mystery in bacterial memory. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
I had an amazing time last week with @TypasLab in Boppard for our lab retreat! It was a fantastic opportunity to reflect on our research, share ideas, mind map new ideas and strengthen our team spirit. Here’s to science and collaboration! 🙂#TeamScience #TypasLabResearch
