Nice first day! Only 25 students, in upper grades, in California, in a public school. Do I dare say that out loud? (Shhh! If I say it too loud, I'll find ten new chairs in my room tomorrow morning!) 15 sixth-graders and 10 fifth graders. A brand new class set of Chromebooks! Yes!
Less than 24 hours to go! I'm one of the newbies at Don Stowell Elementary School in the Merced City School District in the heart of California's Central Valley. This year I'll be teaching a 5/6 combo. It's gonna be a great year, annnd...I get to go home every night!! :-)
