Dear hiring managers, FFS, it's 2025-6, quit it with the LeetCode questions and NOT allowing AI/LLMs in your partner-coding sessions. YOU put AI/LLM usage as a REQUIREMENT for the role, but when auditioning for it you bar it?! I know it's an employers' market. Still...
Note to self: when your 65W guzzling laptop starts tearing and artifacting, first look at the 20W charger you plugged it into, only then ponder the need for a BIOS re-flashing.
"...with F#-style operators". F# is "da bomb" programming language. Just is. BTW, F#'s native Fable project is production-ready (at least its JS flavor) for years now! (No disrespect ReScript, you're great too... you're just not F#).
ReScript 12.0.0 RC2 is out. Give it a spin and share feedback before the final release. github.com/rescript-lang/…
It's 2025, coming on '26, and companies still use L337C0d3 questions to evaluate candidates, on platform that penalize, or outright prohibit using not only LLMs, but even Google (open a new tab - disqualified). I wonder why the false negative hires in those companies skyrocket?!
It took 70 years but it finally happened
The more time I accumulate in our industry, the more I'm sick and tired of it being technically led by IKEA clerks and not craft carpenters. "Use the right tool for the job"? More like "When you're wielding a hammer, everything looks like a nail". Stupid fu(beeeeeeeep)!
Encountered yet another `.node_modules` meme today. I'm interested: how come only Node has this phenomenon where one package brings in a deluge of 500 more? Why doesn't .NET, Rust, C++, Java, Elixir, etc. projects bloat like that?
Global economy is in the (beep). Can't remember, in 15 years of career, getting this many rejections at the CV level, not even meriting an intro call with the HR, and for 2 months straight. Longest I went without a tech task and interview before was 5 weeks. LONGEST!
As LLM become cheaper and easier to host, they will, eventually, make REST APIs extinct. Can't wait for the day to come already!
