Steven Reed, Mayor-elect of Montgomery, AL: "We want to be seen as a part of the new South. We want to turn the page and change the narrative and that's what this election was about."

You have discovered you have been hacked. What would be the first 3 actions you would take?

Interesting!!! Now we have to be concerned about the credibility of the builders of our computers and servers.

A year after Bloomberg's questionable spy chip story, a researcher has shown how those hardware implants aren't just possible, but potentially cheap: With $200 in gear, he hid a tiny chip in a Cisco firewall that gives him remote access. Would you spot it?wired.com/story/plant-sp…

The hospitals immediately called the FBI and got them involved first. Nothing against the FBI, but they should have called a cybersecurity company and had them come and evaluate the severity of the breach. In Birmingham it should have ICS CYBERSECRITY!!!

In 2020 I am going to pick 5 unrelated industries to become a watchdog for cybersecurity.

I am wondering if counties, cities and hospitals should consider calling a "cybersecurity 911 group" before falling on the sword with a calling FBI first? This cyber 911group could provide "cyber triage" before heading down the work path. Thoughts?

If you care about election security, take 30 seconds and join me in calling our Reps this week (they keep a tally)! 1. Call Capitol Switchboard 202-224-3121, ask to be connected to your Reps☎️ 2. “I urge you to pass the $600 million House funding bill for election security!”🗳🔒

!-Just this week 3 hospitals in Alabama were hacked and nationally since 2017 4.5 millions hospital records are said to have been hacked. -AND YES the VA has been hacked So if you work in one of those "Low Hanging Fruit" be on the look out. Don't be afraid to ask for help!

Asking another country to help us on an issue is an admission of weakness and a cybersecurity nightmare. Think about it!
