Yeah, nah @jantinetti - you can say tertiary education needs to adapt but the problem is the cuts fall according to bums on seats, and bums on seats are not a good predictor of societal needs. It's the funding mechanism that's stuffed, not the universities.

Terrifying images have been coming thick and fast over the last 3 years, from the tragic Australian fires to a non-stop series of catastrophic floods. The talk has turned to adaptation and high tech-removal of emissions. Yeah, and nah. Low-tech solutions rolled out now.

A wise person once said that you will experience climate change through a series of increasingly wild videos, until you are the one taking the video.

Just back from the UK and thought I'd found the perfect car for me...an allgrip hybrid suzuki ignis: small and low pollution. But no! Suzuki only offers big emitters or big space takers in the NZ all wheel drive market. Missed opportunity @suzukimotonz
