I agree with the idea of proportioning ones beliefs to evidence because it seems like that would be the only way to make any beliefs that one is actually able to back up

I accept Norman Malcolms statement about us not feeling the same pain because I believe the only difference in the way we perceive pain is due to ones pain tolerance being different to someone else's pain tolerance

Russel- I find his example of the fisherman saying that fish don't sense pain in the way that we do interesting because there is no way for us to know how a fish senses pain since we can only observe it's reaction to pain

I find Ponty's idea that we do not start out life without the concept of self recognition but develop it as we interact with others interesting because I believe that leads to philosophy itself being developed by interactions with others.

I agree with Ponty's idea that there is no gap between anger and the body because there is physical proof that anger has direct influence on the body

In the episode, I see signs of skepticism in the way that, Cory knows that Alicia is a robot but later begins to picture her as a woman only to immediately realize that she is indeed a robot after it is shot

List of descriptive words my partner used "Tastes like chocolate" "Still tastes like chocolate" "This one tastes like chocolate"

Nagel- I appreciate that all of Nagels examples are in some way based in reality but I feel like they go too far into skepticism

Nagel- when Nagel talks about people experiencing the same flavor of ice cream as different tastes, I find this to be possible but a little too skeptical for my taste

Because idealism is the idea that what we experience about the world is altered from the way the world really is

Elgin's claim is that something doesn't have to be completely true to be considered the truth.

If someone is willing to admit their ignorance, it shows that they accept that their is more for them to learn.

Calculative thinking reminds me of the number oriented side of left brain vs right brain

Regarding Dewey's Beliefs on curiosity, I believe that as we age we start to take less satisfaction as a result of our curiosity. this could be because something that may peak ones curiosity at an older age, would be more intricate than something a child may be curious about

Dewey- in my opinion, Dewey's definition of thought is far too limited. I believe a thought to be any form of phrase or imagery that has any sort of meaning to it.

If provided the opportunity, I would like to ask Nietzsche what he though the reason for someone not putting a second thought towards their intellectual conscience might be, and what might change in them if they did put the thought together
