watching battlestar galactica on instantwatch- has me considering the new, but important question, tv vs movies: the better visual medium?
Attack the Block- such a shame that this movie didn't get a very wide release and that many wont discover it in theatre. great scifi/com fun
Just got around to watching Paul. Funny, not super memorable, but decent enough to recommend to fans of pegg/frost and nerd humor.
Seriously the RedRIdingTrilogy is up there with great crime proceduals/serial killer films like M and Zodiac- fantastic mood & performances
new ep of the podcast up- reviews of tree of life and fright night! cant tell if my love 4TOL is genuine or out of prentensiouness haha
watching some coenbros stuff today- gotta be some of the most consistent filmography ever (never saw ladykillers no immediate plans 2)
Weird/fun drive in double feature- FinalDestionation5 * FriendsWtihBenefits- both better than expected and good for a cheap price.
Thinking of dropping the 2 disc unlimitied plan and going to only instant for netflix...
Filmspottong not a fan of I Saw the Devil? Blasphemy! One of the most entertaining/unique takes on the revenge genre and among 2011s best
Filmspotting not a fan of I Saw the Devil? Blasphemy! A hilarious/unique critique of the revenge genre. Nothing like it- 1 of 2011's best
In a world filled with comic films- why not DC's Hitman? He's the punisher meets deadpool meets whedon's angel= loads of character/potential
A little halfway into buffy season 5- uber grim season so far. ..
Hairspray '88. Was good but actually liked new musical better although liked Jerry steller more than Walken. Grade B-
Beyond the Mat: fascinating doc even 2a nonwrestling fan. Lots of info-what lacks in depth is made up 4 in entertainment & compellin footage
Can anyone tell me one convincing reason to be excited about this weekend's cowboys and aliens?
hangover 2- rehashed jokes, over reliance on good will from 1st, decent, still somewhat funny. B-
Save the Tiger: J Lemmon owns. A film full of moral complexity that should b seen by any love of difficult art. Grade A-
Finally got around to seeing both Wayne's World movies- while many jokes fall flat, overall tone is fun and silly. Grade (combined) B-
Hobo w/a Shotgun: if the title sounds good- see this movie! Has the grindhouse aesthetic down perfectly & is equally fun/grotesque. Grade B+
Insidious: a good spiritual sequel to Poltergeist. Fun, scary and not overy relient on the gore. Wan could be the next Craven. Grade B
