Now, we’ve started rocking with Thunder at a weekly vinyl hang in boulder at Rosetta on Mondays, and after a few years away from stages, I’m incredibly excited for him to return, kicking of the PLM takeover next Thursday. So much love for you, @TheBeatServer !!
As time went on, we established our anti-label, SuperBestRecords. He was a founding member and keeper of the SBRchives (test pressings and such). I even entrusted him with a stack of records for the crew to sample that I just got back from him last month. Ps He also grew 🔥 🌲
Seth’s vast record collection has lent itself to many tunes in our crew. He’s lent samples to early PL hits, and many of my tunes including Bloodletting, which was originally a disco’d out version he found of the Xmas tune “we three kings”…
When my father was near the end of his life, Seth would come over and hang with me. During that time I was finishing DOABL and he came to my folks’ house with a turntable & mixer, and did all the cuts on that album in one sitting..
Though I can’t pinpoint what exact moment we met, back in the FoCo heyday Seth and his crew were throwing epic vinyl parties, often focused on reggae and dub. The Listen.crew would come get loose at these packed functions, and Seth became the homie quickly after a few hangs…
