Just been informed that my expected share of remedial works for my building is £120,000. That does not include the £14,000 a week WW that have been here since November or the £100,000 new fire alarm or any other expected works. #endthecladdingscandal
Fire brigade have visited our block 3 times and none have ever suggested the need for a waking watchmen - now we have been told it’s essential. What’s changed?! It’s disgusting that one man can make a decision that can affect 100’s leaseholders & with zero proof of its necessity!
Yet again government has voted to punish leaseholders - also known as "taxpayers" and "voters" - for regulatory failings and dodgy developers who they allowed to prioritise profits over safety. We have the right to be angry. But the fight isn't over yet. housingtoday.co.uk/news/governmen…

Unbelievable shameless argument from @team_greenhalgh on orphaning liabilities. If you don't want to orphan liabilities, make the builders, cladding manufacturers, regulators & building control pay. Instead, you try to pass their liabilities onto us. Well, we will RESIST.
@team_greenhalgh says that the amendments "orphan liabilities". Why is it only leaseholders who can have obligations imposed on them but no other party, including those responsible, can be made so liable?

Understand leaseholders' disappointment with this. After years of gov saying 'leaseholders shouldn't bear costs', it seems to have shifted its position. Leasehold law or not, nobody should suffer for something they had nothing to do with. It's just wrong bit.ly/31kR9PN
