We stop finding common ground when we stop talking to one another. Listen to @tonyvanderhoef insightful take on this issue! #DiscourseLab #HealthyDiscussion #MutualRespect #DifferencesAreOkay #Pluralism #FreeSociety #TalkToOneAnother #CommonGround
Hey Norm! Just a reminder from a Black guy: We don’t speak Yiddish. If you want to insult us, you’re gonna have to use the N-word like all the other racists.

NEWS FLASH: Bari Weiss hires Van Jones to head up CBS News Schvartze Department.
Not what happened. Coleman had acknowledged that he’d read Mearsheimer’s book half an hour beforehand and then argued against Mearsheimer’s positions. Eventually, you resorted to appealing to the “world renowned scholar”’s book, not his argument, before accusing Coleman of…
There’s no dodge and no contradiction, obviously. Of course we need experts, and no one ever denied that. The expert class can also be wrong and corrupted and it’s ridiculous to dismiss someone’s argument simply because they are not an expert (depending on how you define the…
What might calm the frenetic energy of our politics today? @tonyvanderhoef believes we need a stronger ‘middle’! #Politics #PoliticalPolarization #NationDivided #MeetInTheMiddle #DiscourseLab #HealthyDialogue #MAGA #UnitedStates #AllAmericans
Is Zohran Mamdani’s Political Program Radical by Mainstream Measure? Here's a clip from the YV Debates event we held in New York City last night featuring @danielidfresne and @apellitteri43. In this clip Daniel calls out Mamdani's appeals to identity policits as unnecessary and…
“… all of these laws, including laws against hate speech, ironically become tools for disproportionately suppressing the very voices of the very marginalized minority groups that are hoped to be protected by the laws.” #FreeSpeech #FirstAmendment #NadineStrossen
Don't miss this interview on the CTA Podcast with independent socio-cognitive scholar and host of @TheDiscourseLab @anthony_rispo with CTA Co-Director, Dr. Michael Olan. Anthony and Michael delve into the complexities of sociopolitical research, personal political awakenings,…

Nadine Strossen, former ACLU President (1991-2008) … among MANY other incredible credentials, talking about the opposite impact censorship or impugning others has on changing a viewpoint or even an abhorrent perspective!
I wrote about why you should watch the video of #CharlieKirk getting shot. -> open.substack.com/pub/tonclay13/…

Just a human moment 🙏🏼 #RIPCharlieKirk #Heaven #AfterLife #Humanity #DiscourseLab #SpeakFromTheHeart #PoliticalCommentary
In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, in this episode of Discourse Lab, Anthony and Clay dive into the tough questions surrounding why (shitty) people do what they do. We don’t have all the answers, but moral conviction is a layer of analysis of the problem.
This betrays a fundamental misunderstanding of the USA. Putting people in prison for speech would make things FAR worse.
I know this could never happen but if you could theoretically arrest and charge 50 people who publicly celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk and give them 2-3 year prison sentences, you would significantly decrease the risk of civil war in America.
This simply could not be more incorrect.

Maybe what it’s actually time to do, in the battle of good against evil, is dismantle the Rage Economy — the one where we pay greedy but unimpressive people to keep us in a perpetual state of anger they pretend is righteous but really just lines their own pockets.
Charlie tried to have conversations with you on the Left, and you killed him for it. You're killing us in our churches. You tried to kill our President. You celebrate Charlie's death. It's time for good to fight back against evil. @MattWalshBlog
👏 words 👏 are 👏 not 👏 violence 👏
Charlie Kirk’s speech is not the cause of his untimely demise. The person who shot him in broad daylight is to blame.
Matthew Dowd on MSNBC suggests it's CHARLIE KIRK'S FAULT HE WAS SHOT: “[He is] constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech, aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which often then to hateful actions.”
not a funny meme to threaten to revoke people's citizenship because their opinions offend you -- actually anti-free-speech and kinda authoritarian!
Mussolini and Hitler were both fascists—but very different leaders. Today, “fascist” is tossed at Trump as if the term has one fixed meaning. But what really defines fascism? Hot one to unravel. Thoughts?
I went on @anthony_rispo and @_NotYourRealDad’s @TheDiscourseLab podcast to talk neoliberalism, fascism, and beyond - and to do a little intellectual exercise: make a left case for Trump, and a MAGA case for Mamdani. Listen here: discourselab.substack.com/p/nikos-mohamm…
