All roguelikes have the same problem. After a nice run, most players do not want to start another. I want to press alt+f4 immediately after ending a run in Spelunky. If there is a good study/paper about this. I would like to read it. #gamedev #indiegames #roguelike

Every run in The Holy Tree Wars is a different war. Different bosses. Different perks. Different experience.
Goblins rule much of the jungle—but no one knows where their cities are. Built underground with dwarven help and shamanic magic, their power is hidden and dangerous. The elves still don’t understand how they bend the Holy Tree’s will and do a different kind of magic.
The Goblins faction leans toward a defensive playstyle. Their balanced deck is strong—but goblin-only perks and items give them the edge. They may not overpower bosses fast, but if they stall, they win.

This faction is ideal for players who enjoy strategic planning and long-term progression, as acquiring Rare items is easier with them. Most of the Exiles’s cards are focused on magical abilities and disabling boss powers during encounters.

There are 4 perk tiers in The Holy Tree Wars: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. Perks boost your score and card power (TO THE MOON) After each match, you can buy, store, or sell them. Harder bosses? Bigger rewards which you can use to have better run or sale!
Deep in the jungle live creatures that can reshape the flow of battle—like the powerful birds tied to each faction. Their cards are rare, distinct, and often among the strongest in the game. Forming alliances with them might be your only chance against something far worse.🌳
Even we can barely beat some of the bosses. And we made them. But don’t worry the game is balanced. We just need to get stronger to beat that weird god-like swan.
We’ve got 52 bosses in The Holy Tree Wars so far, and another 150+ planned for future DLCs. But honestly we are not sure players will be able to find them all. it's a little bit hard 🌚🌳
