Update: if you have really old ZEC UTXOs created before 2018, they have to be spent with a "version 1" transaction... and Ledger removed support for it. Ledger broke the ability for early adopters to spend ZEC. Wow. Dumbfounded. x.com/lopp/status/19…

Gun to my head I would choose Monero over Zcash any day of the week. There are just too many suspicious things with Zcash and in this industry if there is that level of suspicion then there are skeletons of unknown quantity yet to be uncovered.
