Maturity is realizing people who lack accountability will avoid responsibility and shift the blame to you. Access to you is a privilege. Be selective af. Normalize distancing yourself from people who play the victim and make you the villain in their story.
Crazy how powerful you become when you stop tolerating disrespect and start enforcing your boundaries, stop pleasing others and start pleasing yourself, stop seeking validation and start validating yourself, and stop shrinking yourself to fit in and start speaking your mind.
Remind yourself that there are many many people on planet Earth. You can meet better people tommorow. Let them go and get better , and never let them return. Respectfully, you deserve far better
Normalize not forcing anyone to pick you. If someone thinks they can find better elsewhere – let them. Respectfully.
Normalize staying away from people who play the victim to make you the villain in their story. Normalize being kind and taking no sh*t. Normalize saying "no" w/o explaining yourself. Normalize forgiving someone w/o reconnecting with them. Normalize loving someone from a distance.
Some people are just so unconscious of their behaviors and devoted to misconceptions of you, that trying to prove a point to them gets exhausting. You are not accountable for that disconnect. Stay in your integrity. Universe will always respond accordingly.
Keep them around, the most valuable people in your life
Standards are spiritual protection — when you keep them high to be your best self you also protect yourself & guard your energy.
Let this resonate deeply with you
Stay selective with your energy, have standards for those you engage with, enforce your boundaries as needed, keep the promises you set with yourself, respect your innate need for rest, trust a select few deeply — say yes to less & only what truly matters.
A core pillar of true greatness is accountability.
Choose your friends wisely, consistently nourish your relationships, actively support those you love, pour into the ones who mean the most to you — the power of your community means more than we could ever know.
The quality of your circle has a great influence on your ability to become successful. Choose your surroundings carefully.
