Blown away by the beautiful figures prepared by @diatomdeb for our upcoming paper. If you need scientific illustrations to beautify your paper (biology, astronomy, anatomy), she is the scientific artist I can recommend, hands down!

As an extension of #ShutDownStem, we acknowledge the importance of #Juneteenth, a day widely celebrated by the African American community to commemorate June 19, 1865, the day that more than 250,000 slaves in Texas were informed they were free. Learn more: buff.ly/2BeWzBT

We moved our lab on Wednesday to a new building and finished unpacking and organizing. We are happy to wear sunglasses in the new building; so much light from wall-size windows everywhere!!!

What I am proud of: UD is off today to celebrate Juneteenth!

In celebration of #Juneteenth2020, Dr. Cheryl Hicks, #UDel associate professor of Africana studies and history, shares seven facts you should know about the holiday. ow.ly/PaC650Acnst

Two of my colleagues and I are organizing a Frontiers Research Topic "Plasmodesmata: Recent Progress and New Insights" frontiersin.org/research-topic… Hope this opportunity gives people to remain productive while the pandemic continues to keep us from going back to the lab fully!

Hope to see many familiar faces!

I just registered for the PB20 Plant Biology Worldwide Summit! First-ever fully online annual meeting! I look forward to seeing colleagues and say hi online!

This is a really cool paper by Kyaw Aung and Sheng Yang He about the battle between plasmodesmata and pathogens!!!

Interagency Working Group on Biological Data Sharing Workshop (ibbr.umd.edu/event/iwgbds/h…)! What an eye-opening workshop! Learning so much--the topic of data sharing, critical side of being scientist but I never seriously thought about it until now!

The announcement is finally out! Postdoc Position is immediately available in my lab at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute, University of Delaware to study molecular mechanisms underlying PD protein targeting and regulation. jobs.sciencecareers.org/job/484551/pos… #jobs. Please retweet!

NSF-funded Postdoc and GRA positions immediately available in my lab to study novel mechanisms by which membrane proteins assemble at plasmodesmata to regulate molecular movement and cell signaling. Please look out for an ad and retweet this message!

We're frustrated at this news, @vatanparastm, because international collaboration is fundamental to science. We encourage US citizens to contact their representatives & others in the administration to explain how the travel ban is interfering w/ scientific research & conferences.

I’m so with you!

Thanks for visiting Delaware and giving a great seminar! I learned so much about suberin!

I had a wonderful time visiting you in Delaware! Thank you so much for hosting me. Special thanks to your lab and @ThePDLab. Hope to see you soon in Geneva.

Do you remember ASCB 2009 or 2010 when AFM of Myosin V walking on actin was shown? Well, the movies of Sas-6 self-assembly into a cartwheel shown by HS-PORT are equally jaw dropping. nature.com/articles/s4156…

😊Thank you ❤️

Thank you @PlantTeaching It does take a community to mentor "good scientists" and it takes people like you to keep a community healthy. Your contributions to plant biology community is invaluable...
