We’ll help you with a simpler and more direct version of this. Driving is poisoning the air. If you choose to bike, walk, or take transit… you are helping everyone else out.
Hot, dry, and stagnant weather continues, and unfortunately, so does the threat of high ozone. The Ozone Action Day alert has been extended through at least Fri afternoon. Carpool or use public transit when possible to help reduce ozone causing emissions. colorado.gov/airquality/adv…

The dead can't be brought back to life. But it's still possible to save the living. President Biden announced today that he won’t supply certain weapons if Israel attacks Rafah. Even if this policy shift saves only one life: still, that one life might be your own. IT WAS…

Denver SDS statement on the ongoing Auraria Encampment
Students are camping on the Auraria quad not to virtue signal or disrupt campus but to stand in solidarity with the innocent civilians in Gaza being murdered in cold blood. The demonstration yesterday was peaceful, thoughtful and well reasoned. #FreePalestine
We spent the day talking to folks in HD4. It's clear the community I grew up in wants: 🏠 Truly affordable housing. 📚 Fully-funded public schools. 🌎 A future free from gun violence. I'll continue to work hard to deliver these things for my constituents, & all of Colorado!
Students have the power! We celebrate day 4 at the Auraria encampment! 🇵🇸
Denver is ready for more red light cameras.
About 1,000 people are killed each year because of red light running. Traffic cameras reduce all types of fatal crashes at intersections. When cities remove red light camera programs, crash rates go back up. Americans value convenience (i.e. speed) more than human life.
We’re experiencing the largest anti-war student movement since the 1960s. Proud to stand alongside students peacefully protesting for Palestine yesterday at the Auraria Campus. Power to the Students. ✊🏽 End the Genocide in Gaza. ❌ Free Palestine. 🇵🇸

This policy apparently originated after a three-week encampment at Auraria in 2003 in opposition the Iraq War, an extremely unpopular position at the time that a large bipartisan majority of Americans have since come around to agreeing with.
It should be abundantly clear: students were arrested at Auraria yesterday for “violating the camping ban” policy of the Auraria Campus. They did not break a law— it’s not illegal to camp in Colorado. They broke a school policy— a policy that can be changed/suspended today.
Angela Davis dropped by to show her support for the students at Auraria Campus here in Denver.
Johnston is oblivious to the historical significance of his militarized response. Auraria was built on stolen Indigenous land & displaced a Latino community. Students protesting dispossession & genocide of Palestinians are on the right side of history—unlike our mayor from Vail.
