Loving people well looks a lot different in this season. Championing our apprentices is one of our priorities. Dropping off these bags to celebrate them in a season when we, sometimes, have to be apart. instagram.com/p/CF2WsYHHhk3/…
We just finished Zechariah in the #SummitBibleReadingPlan. We saw how much of Revelation's vision for New Jerusalem is also described in Zechariah 14: no night, living waters in Jerusalem, God returning to his city, all nations worshipping the true king. What stood out to you?
In the #SummitBibleReadingPlan , we are finishing up Zechariah. In chapters 9 and 14, Zechariah predicts that a king will come to help with the salvation of God's people. Chapters 11 and 13 also talk about a shepherd that will help restore societal issues. #theShepherdKing
Are you following along with the #SummitBibleReadingPlan ? Take sometime while social distancing to catch up, or take a second look at yesterday's reading. Zechariah 9 describes God's salvation of his people: God will bring the righteous king predicted in Genesis 49 and Isaiah.
Today, the #SummitBibleReadingPlan now transitions from the Gospel of John to the letters John wrote to some churches. Here is the Gospel Project's summary of these short epistles: youtu.be/l3QkE6nKylM
In the #SummitBibleReadingPlan today's reading contains the main theme of John: "these [things] are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." John 20:31.
