Fair comment. Strong sense of deja vu from 20 years ago when Blair & co, in their desperation, kept inventing all kinds of fantastic problem-solving new uses for ‘magic bullet’ ID cards. We @LibDems helped kill them then, & surely will again.
Ah yes, it will be digital ID that will be the antidote to our stale economy, sky high tax and a sea of failing businesses.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a UK wide supermarket chain that only sells UK produced food with higher supermarket purchase prices given to farmers. It would also be more environmentally sustainable due to lower food transportation mileages compared to imported overseas food.
Here’s a slogan for you: No Farmers, No Food.
We need to shoot down this idea that slogans, easy answers, quick fixes and shortcuts are what fix the country.
