we finally got round to merging the PR that adds a lifecycle hook where you can call document.startViewTransition 🥳 @geoffrich_ has the rundown 👇

Want to use view transitions in your SvelteKit app? v1.24 unlocks view transitions with a new lifecycle method. We’ve already added them to the Svelte site - watch the blog titles slide into place! Read all about it in my latest on the Svelte blog: svelte.dev/blog/view-tran…

Cult / Culture

After reading all the stupid questions on @Quora, I think AI is already smarter than humanity.

We love building headless sites! But spent an hour today thinking that @storyblok was down. Turns out, they just aren't redirecting their Apex domain. Might be a good thing to fix storyblok.com

Stellar work by @nystudio107 🎉 Using GitHub Codespaces, you can now spin up a #CraftCMS site with the click of a button and be editing templates in the browser within seconds!! H/t @ransomroberson

📢 Spin Up Craft 🎉 A little niche project that lets you shrink-wrap an entire Craft CMS project (devops included!) This lets you distribute working code & projects to others easily Just two steps to get an entire @craftcms project up & running #craftcms github.com/nystudio107/sp…

Global warming impacting my life right now. I never had to mow the lawn in January before.

Dear @dwnews, can we get your old android app back? Your new one is awful.

Avoiding the JS framework debate going on, but I'll just remind everyone that the top things making most of the web awful are: - popups - ad scripts - custom fonts - bad image loading - slow servers The sites without these problems are so much better its not worth fighting over

Another notch for @adamwathan's belt. Last August we built Verizon's 912.nyc site using @tailwindcss which just won a Gold Pencil at @TheOneClub! Top honours in digital marketing.

CSS co-designer here. !important was added for one reason only: laws in the US that require certain text to be in a given font-size. !important stops the cascade from changing it. Anything else is probably misuse, and a sign you may not understand the cascade properly.

A decade ago, @ThinkfloCodes was tasked with building the first #BlackBerry AppStore Marketplace. So it's bittersweet that today is the last day of support for these legendary devices. Happy that we were a small part of their story but also sad to see them go.

Here's how I recently solved targeting touch devices using @TailwindCSS when needing an exception for hover states. Create custom raw screens for touch using the pointer CSS media query, you can now specifically target touch or mouse devices My #tailwindcss trick of the week
