A media blitz has been going on to demonize Doctor salaries. It's obviously funded by the Healthcare-Pharma Complex, to deflect blame onto Doctors for high Healthcare costs. It is the worst kind of gaslighting against doctors, because the exact opposite situation is true.…

The easiest loophole to close in Healthcare spending is Hospital Facility Fees for office visits. Hospitals buy physician practices and immediately double Medicare billing because of the facility fee loophole. They don't want us to know this. Billions per year.

I had no idea how big the legal scam was with facility fees for outpatient office visits. $62 Billion per year! When you see an independent doctor in the same office building, there is no facility fee!

The majority of doctors I know who have been in practice for 15 years or more were making more money in their 2nd year of practice than they are today, adjusted for inflation. Medicare hasn't increased the work-RVU payment rate since 1992. Other countries do it more fairly.

The part of the Healthcare discussion everyone is missing is that Medicare hasn't adjusted Physician payments for inflation since 1992, despite practice costs being up over 100%. Purely based on math and inflation, we will lose our independent doctors if this isn't fixed soon.

Maybe we require raises for all doctors and nurses before hospitals can hire consultants and lawyers :)

This should end the debate of where spending in Healthcare can be cut. Doctors haven't had a raise in Medicare payment rates since 1992. Admin salaries have tripled since then.

Nurses are underpaid in America, along with doctors. I wonder where all that extra money goes? It's almost like Healthcare in America is a giant Grift Machine, with $1.5 Trillion spent yearly on beaurocracy and administration...

Physicians in America are underpaid compared to peer countries (especially considering the $250,000 student debt incurred in the US)

The most blatant scams in Healthcare could be fixed with a single bill. 1. Facility fees for office visits. You pay twice as much to see a hospital-employed doctor vs. a private doctor in the SAME OFFICE BUILDING. 2. 340b 3. Lawyers and felons can own hospitals but docs can't

The fundamental problem with US Healthcare is misplaced incentives. Doctors and patients aren't financially affected by the cost of most treatments, so they care more about "is it covered" rather than "is it necessary". There are millions of jobs whose main purpose is to…

Dedicating yourself to public service, teaching, healthcare or motherhood used to be noble. Now politicians, teachers, nurses, doctors and moms are attacked and called greedy, selfish, ideological or worse. Let's bring back nobility to these professions. A change from within.

Comparing doctor and hospital administrator pay increases since 1992 is striking. Doctors have had to more than double their efficiency and patient volume to make the same real income, while administrator salaries tripled. I don't think Congress knows these basic facts.

In the 1990s, your doctor's appointment lasted 15-30 minutes, and you really had a connection. Medicare work RVU payment- 1992: $32 2025: $33 Inflation: 131% Now doctors have to work twice as hard and practice assembly-line medicine to pay their staff and student loans.

Whenever there's a post by Elon, Trump or Obama, there's no point in looking at the replies. Nothing but memes paid for by PR botfarms. Can we try to ban PR firms that are paid to change public opinion? It's so disingenuous. This is a real problem we don't discuss enough.
